La Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios (AEMPS) esun órgano público adscrito al Ministerio de Sanidad, responsable de garantizar
a la sociedad, desde la perspectiva de servicio público, la calidad, seguridad,
eficacia y correcta información de los medicamentos y productos
sanitarios, así como los cosméticos, desde su investigación hasta su utilización,
en interés de la protección y promoción de la salud de las personas,
de la sanidad animal y el medioambiente.

MISIÓN DE LA AEMPS
Proporcionar garantías a la sociedad sobre los medicamentos, productos sanitarios, cosméticos y productos de cuidado personal, promoviendo el conocimiento científico-técnico y poniéndolo al servicio de la sociedad para su beneficio y progreso.
